What happens if I turn it on by mistake?

Turn it off again in the app and the vehicle starts normally. The app always shows the current state clearly.

Will it work if the vehicle is in a basement with no signal?

The command is delivered when the device next has mobile coverage. In a basement that may be when the vehicle comes out.

Can a thief bypass it?

They would need to find the device, which is fitted out of sight, and disconnect it — which raises a power-cut alarm on your phone straight away.

Which plans include the immobiliser?

What it does

The difference between tracking and stopping

Live tracking tells you where the vehicle is going. The immobiliser is what stops it going anywhere in the first place.

It simply will not start

With the immobiliser on, turning the key or pressing the button does nothing. There is no engine to hot-wire around.

Use it the moment you are alerted

An ignition or movement alert and the immobiliser work together — you find out, then you act, in the same app.

Clear on-screen state

The app always shows whether the immobiliser is on or off, so you are never unsure what state you left the vehicle in.

How you use it

You get an alert, or you decide to
Either something has happened and you have been alerted, or you simply want the vehicle secured while it is parked somewhere.

You turn the immobiliser on in the app
One control, with a clear on or off state. The command goes to the device over the mobile network.

The vehicle cannot be started
From that point the engine will not turn over. A thief in the driver’s seat with a key is still not going anywhere.

You turn it off when you want to drive
Switch it off in the app and the vehicle starts normally again.

Worth knowing

Important: what this is not

It is designed to stop a stationary vehicle from being started. It is not designed to cut the engine of a vehicle that is already moving, and must never be relied on to do that — stopping a moving vehicle remotely would be dangerous.
The command travels over the mobile network. If the vehicle is somewhere with no signal, the command reaches the device once coverage returns.
It is a deterrent and a delay, not a guarantee. It stops the vehicle being driven away; it does not stop it being towed.

No, and this is deliberate. The immobiliser prevents a stationary vehicle from being started. Cutting the engine of a moving vehicle could cause a serious accident, so it is not something the product does.
