What sets the alarm off

The ignition turns on
The device notices the vehicle being started and tells you immediately, with the location.

The vehicle moves without being started
A vehicle being towed or lifted moves without the ignition ever coming on. That is treated as an alert in its own right.

Power is disconnected
If the main supply is cut, the device switches to its own battery and raises a power-cut alarm.

You act on it
Open the app to see where the vehicle is now, and if your plan includes it, turn on the engine immobiliser.

What this alarm does and does not do

It alerts your phone. It does not sound a siren on the vehicle or attract attention on the street.
You need to see the alert to act on it. Keep notifications enabled for the app.
It cannot physically stop a vehicle being taken. Pair it with the engine immobiliser if you want the vehicle to be undriveable.
